Powering Land, Air, and Industry: Ryze’s expanding role in decarbonisation through collaboration

As the global push towards net-zero gains momentum, the need for cross-industry collaboration has never been more evident. At Ryze, we’re dedicated to leading the decarbonisation of various sectors, leveraging a diverse array of low-carbon solutions, including hydrogen, to reduce emissions across land, air, and industry.

Our ever-growing customer base and recent partnerships highlight the wide-reaching impact of our work throughout the UK and beyond.

One of our most exciting collaborations is with ZeroAvia, a leader in zero-emission aviation. Recently recognised by Time Magazine as a top green technology company, ZeroAvia is pioneering hydrogen-electric propulsion for commercial aviation. Ryze is proud to supply the hydrogen needed for their innovative engine and flight testing at Cotswold Airport. This partnership exemplifies the vital role hydrogen will play in decarbonising aviation, a sector that has traditionally been difficult to decarbonise.

Our commitment to reducing emissions extends to the automotive sector, where we are working with Vauxhall to develop hydrogen solutions for fleet operators. This includes the Vauxhall Vivaro Hydrogen, with trials set to begin this year, and the Movano Hydrogen, expected to be available for delivery in 2025. These projects are key in advancing hydrogen as a practical and sustainable option for fleet operations, offering businesses a powerful tool to reduce their carbon footprint.

Further strengthening our commitment to the automotive sector, we’ve partnered with Scania to develop hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks. This collaboration marries Ryze’s hydrogen infrastructure expertise with Scania’s world-class engineering, creating zero-emission vehicles that are crucial for a sustainable future. This partnership marks a significant step toward decarbonising logistics and long-haul transport, demonstrating the versatility and importance of hydrogen in various applications.

In the industrial sector, our collaboration with Glass Futures is setting new standards for decarbonisation in energy-intensive processes. Our long-term hydrogen supply agreement ensures daily deliveries to their St. Helens research centre, supporting trials that are crucial in greening the glass manufacturing process, one of the most challenging industries to decarbonise.

To meet the demands of these diverse sectors, our state-of-the-art tube trailer fleet, the largest by capacity in the UK, provides the flexibility and reliability needed to support everything from ZeroAvia’s rigorous testing to daily operations at Glass Futures.

These partnerships highlight the essential role that collaboration plays in achieving our collective decarbonisation goals. By integrating hydrogen into land, air, and industrial applications, Ryze is proving that hydrogen is a versatile and essential component in the global transition to a zero-emission future.

At Ryze, we’re not just delivering hydrogen—we’re building the infrastructure and relationships necessary to drive the hydrogen economy forward. Together with our partners, we’re making significant strides towards a cleaner, greener future for all.
